The present moment often steals most of our attention.  Zen masters have taught us to live in the moment, because it’s the only thing we can change.  Very true, and sound advice. 

However, our finances are different.  Financial planning is all about getting into good habits, and having a focus on the future. How is your financial road map looking? Do you even have a map? Many people are afraid of the future, particularly when it comes to finances.  You needn’t worry with careful, responsible planning.  The present moment is much easier when you have your financial future already taken care of.
