I remember back in the 70’s when my mom had a food scale and she read the caloric content on all the food labels.  My mom knew how many calories every fruit and vegetable had and she followed the diet plan she started to a tee.  She lost a few pounds, but after a few months, it started coming back on her.  I didn’t want to go through all that, so I checked out the Nutrisystem Diet where there is no calorie counting and the food is awesome.  I can even eat chocolate.  I eat my favorite foods and still lose weight.  I have now lost a total of 30 pounds and am still losing.  I only have 30 more pound to go to reach my goal.
