A great way to learn how to play the guitar is to listen to your favorite music and get free guitar lessons at the same time. Choose an artist or a specific song that you know particularly well and begin breaking down the various parts of the music, working in one section at a time. Once you have learned one section, move onto the next. Continue working until you feel comfortable with the way it sounds. Soon you will be able to piece together quite a bit of a complete song and you will have learned it all on your own.
